Aaron's wife Mandy has been making this for years and it's a hit at any party we bring it to. Try using Chipotle honey for a bit of heat! Originally she got this recipe from www.gimmesomeoven.com. She's added cheese as well over the years.

Aaron's wife Mandy has been making this for years and it's a hit at every party. Try using Chipotle honey for a bit of heat! Originally she got this recipe from www.gimmesomeoven.com, but it's very simple and there are many variations all over the internet. Adding shredded cheese is a favourite at our house and WOW does it ever go well with homemade soup for lunch!
Ingredients
-
3 cups all purpose flour
-
1 teaspoon fine salt
-
1 tablespoon baking powder
-
Ā¼ cup Sun River Honey Natural (warmed just a bit to be extra runny)
-
1 can of beer
-
Ā¼ cup melted butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 350āF
Mix the flour, salt and baking powder in a large bowl.
Slowly pour in the beer and the honey and stir thoroughly.
Pour half of the melted butter into a 9x5 bread pan and brush it all around to coat the pan.
Add the batter to the pan and flatten it out.
Brush the remaining butter on top of the batter.
Bake for 40-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Remove and let cool for 10 min before slicing.
Recipe Note
Add a handful of shredded cheddar to the batter for some cheesy goodness.
