Savory Meatballs with Chipotle Honey Sauce

Sara's savory meatballs keep the ingredient list short and let Chipotle Sun River Honey do the work as a glaze or dipping sauce. Serve them as an appetizer, or make them the main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds extra lean ground beef
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic, crushed, or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup Chipotle Sun River Honey

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine the beef, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly with your hands.
  4. Form the mixture into about 60 meatballs, each about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Place the meatballs evenly on a baking tray. For easier cleanup, line the tray with parchment paper first.
  6. Bake on the center rack for about 20 minutes, or until cooked through. Cooking time may vary with meatball size.
  7. If desired, loosen and turn the meatballs midway through cooking so they brown on more than one side.
  8. Place the cooked hot meatballs in a serving dish and drizzle Chipotle Sun River Honey over them.
  9. Toss to coat before serving, or serve the Chipotle Sun River Honey as a dipping sauce on the side.
