Sara's acorn squash recipe is a simple way to brighten a supper side dish with Turmeric Ginger Honey. The honey melts into the hot squash after cooking and turns it into an easy turmeric-ginger glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 small acorn squash
- 2 tsp Sun River Honey Turmeric Ginger Honey
Directions
- Cut the acorn squash in half and remove the seeds.
- Place the squash open-side down on a microwave-safe plate. Cover with wax paper and microwave for 10 minutes, or until fork tender. Microwave times may vary.
- Remove from the microwave, turn the squash over, and cut it into quarters.
- Pierce the flesh of the squash repeatedly with a fork.
- While the squash is plated and still hot, spread 1 tsp Turmeric Ginger Honey into the hollow of each acorn squash quarter so the honey melts into the fork piercings.
- Serve immediately.
